  • 1 cup roasted peanuts
  • 100g paneer (Indian cottage cheese), cubed
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tomato, finely chopped
  • 1 green chili, finely chopped (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh coriander leaves, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon tamarind chutney
  • 1 tablespoon green chutney
  • 1 teaspoon chaat masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt, to taste
  • Sev (crispy chickpea noodles), for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the roasted peanuts and cubed paneer.
  2. Add finely chopped onion, tomato, green chili (if using), and coriander leaves.
  3. Drizzle tamarind chutney and green chutney over the mixture.
  4. Sprinkle chaat masala, roasted cumin powder, red chili powder, and salt to taste.
  5. Add lemon juice and gently toss all ingredients until well combined.
  6. Transfer the mixture to serving plates and garnish generously with sev.
  7. Serve immediately to enjoy the crunchy texture and fresh flavors.

Notes

For extra crunch, lightly roast the peanuts at home and use fresh homemade paneer if possible. You can also add pomegranate seeds for a sweet-tart contrast.
