Prosciutto Wrapped Mozzarella Bites

Delight in these easy-to-make Prosciutto Wrapped Mozzarella Bites, combining creamy mozzarella and savory prosciutto for a perfect appetizer or snack.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella balls (bocconcini)
  • 8 slices of prosciutto, halved lengthwise
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Fresh basil leaves (optional)
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Drain the mozzarella balls and pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. Lay out each prosciutto slice on a clean surface and place one mozzarella ball at the end of each slice.
  3. If using, place a fresh basil leaf on top of each mozzarella ball.
  4. Carefully roll the prosciutto around the mozzarella ball to wrap it completely.
  5. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  6. Place the wrapped bites seam side down in the skillet and cook for about 2 minutes on each side or until the prosciutto is crispy and the mozzarella is slightly melted.
  7. Remove from heat, season with freshly ground black pepper, and serve warm.

Notes

For an extra burst of flavor, drizzle the bites with balsamic glaze before serving or pair them with a tangy marinara dipping sauce.
