  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • Cooked rice, for serving
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the ground beef.
  2. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  4. Stir in the brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  5. Simmer the mixture for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly and coats the beef.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in sliced green onions.
