Delicate salmon fillets pan-seared to perfection and coated in a rich, garlicky butter sauce for a quick and flavorful dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Pat salmon fillets dry and season both sides with salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Place salmon fillets skin-side up in the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Flip the salmon and cook another 3-4 minutes until desired doneness.
  5. Reduce heat to medium, add remaining 2 tablespoons butter and minced garlic to the skillet.
  6. Spoon the melted garlic butter over the salmon continuously for about 1-2 minutes.
  7. Remove skillet from heat, drizzle lemon juice over salmon, and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
  8. Serve immediately, spooning extra garlic butter from the pan over the fillets.

Notes

For added flavor, serve with a side of roasted vegetables or steamed asparagus. You can also substitute fresh dill for parsley for a different herb note.
