Soft, fluffy dinner rolls infused with rich garlic butter, perfect as a comforting side for any meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk (110°F/43°C)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted (for garlic butter topping)
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm milk and let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and salt.
  3. Add the yeast mixture, melted butter, and eggs into the dry ingredients. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  7. Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal portions. Shape each into a ball and place them close together in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  8. Mix the minced garlic into the melted butter. Brush the tops of each roll generously with the garlic butter.
  9. Cover the rolls and let them rise for an additional 20 minutes.
  10. Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown on top.
  11. Once baked, brush again with any remaining garlic butter and sprinkle with fresh parsley if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a sprinkle of parmesan cheese on top before baking or serve with marinara dipping sauce.
