Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground breakfast sausage
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 (10 oz) can Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies, drained
  • 1 1/2 cups baking mix (like Bisquick)
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground sausage, shredded cheddar cheese, drained Rotel, baking mix, and black pepper.
  3. Mix everything together thoroughly using your hands or a spoon until well combined.
  4. Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet about 1 inch apart.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the sausage balls are cooked through and golden brown on the outside.
  6. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For extra crispiness, broil the sausage balls for an additional 2 minutes after baking. Serve with ranch dressing or your favorite dipping sauce.
