Baked Honey Marinade Cod

Delight in tender cod fillets baked to perfection with a sweet and tangy honey marinade that enhances the natural flavors of the fish.

  • 4 cod fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, olive oil, garlic, ginger, and lemon juice.
  3. Place the cod fillets in a baking dish and season with salt and black pepper.
  4. Pour the honey marinade over the cod, ensuring each fillet is well coated.
  5. Let the fish marinate for 10-15 minutes at room temperature.
  6. Bake the cod in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Remove from oven and garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
